Diversity, Equity & INCLUSION

K.  Allen Consulting is an international education & management consulting firm that provides customized workshops, auditing, strategic planning, and coaching services. Their experts works with Turning Tables to provide actionable Diversity / Equity / Inclusion training for our local community partners to ensure our externs have the best experience possible at their placement sites. Together we build DEI into our internal framework to implement long term strategies for structural changes, accountability and execution to level-set on pertinent issues and data around social identities, racial discrimination, intersectionality and bias. 

SafE BARS

Safe Bars mission is to create safe, equitable, and welcoming alcohol-serving hospitality spaces. They use active bystander intervention, de-escalation, and allyship strategies to empower the staff at partner establishments to stop sexual aggression and other forms of gender-based violence in their work environments.

HealthY HOSPITALITY

Oyster Sunday : Our externs and alumni receive health benefits and discounts on gym memberships from Oyster Sunday, a local health resource provider focused on the hospitality industry.


OS BENEFiTS is the first affordable health insurance and wellness benefits marketplace made for the hospitality industry, by the hospitality industry.

Mental Health Services

WeHelpNOLA provides free mental health care services to restaurant industry workers here in New Orleans. Externs and alumni receive free access to psychotherapy by licensed clinicians, local wellness organizations & much more.


Glass Half Full

Glass Half Full recycles glass “waste” into sand and gravel for disaster relief and prevention, coastal restoration, eco-construction, new glass products, and so much more! Turning Tables is proud to work with Glass Half Full to do our part in making New Orleans a more sustainable city!

In 2023 Glass Half Full collected over 8,300 pounds of glass during Tales Of The Cocktail. With over 130 festivals per year in New Orleans, the possibilities are endless!

Donations support training materials, stipends for participants, Diversity / Equity / Inclusion workshops, bystander intervention training for staff at partner establishments, and critical community resources – including mental healthcare – that ensure our participants have enough holistic support to succeed in our program and beyond.
